Ogden City Council The City Council is the legislative branch and policy making body of Ogden City. This is the Ogden City Council's official page.

The purpose of this page is to serve as a mechanism for communication between the Ogden City Council and members of the public. Ogden City social media site posts and comments containing any of the following forms of content shall not be allowed:

a. Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures;

b. Profane language or content;

c. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation;

d. Sexual content or links to sexual content;

e. Solicitations of commerce;

f. Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;

g. Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;

h. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party;

I. Comments not topically related to the particular social medium article being commented upon, including random or unintelligible comments;

j. Personal attacks, disrespectful comments, insults, name-calling or belittling comments.

FIRE RESTRICTION UPDATE: Ogden City Moved to YELLOW (Elevated Fire Danger)
Due to hot, dry conditions and decreasing fuel moisture levels, Ogden Fire has raised the fire danger level from Green (Normal) to Yellow (Elevated) under Ogden Municipal Code 11-6-3.
What This Means in Restricted Areas (See attached map)
Not Allowed:
• Aerial fireworks
• Any ignition sources in non-irrigated, natural, or undeveloped areas
Allowed in landscaped areas only (when continuously attended by a responsible adult and with a means to extinguish the fire):
• Gas grills and cooking appliances
• Pellet grills
• Charcoal grills
• Other solid-fuel cooking appliances
Restricted Areas Include:
• Areas east of Harrison Boulevard
• Areas east of Monroe Boulevard, north of 2nd street
• The Ogden/Weber River Parkway
• Hillside and open-space areas adjacent to residential neighborhoods
Fireworks Information
Fireworks are not currently legal for sale or discharge in Utah.
• Fireworks sales begin: June 24, 2026
• Legal discharge begins: July 2, 2026
