The annual "Student Showcase" was held on Thursday, March 12th. The building was full of parents, friends, relatives, community members, and staff as students had their work on display and also participated in presentations throughout the day.

Just a few of the happenings:
*mini concerts in the band room
*3rd graders performing in "Readers' Theater"
*4th graders dressed in character for the wax museum
*Elementary Art Show
*HS Art Show
*classrooms and hallways with many student projects on display
*individual conferences as needed
*lunch available in the cafeteria
*the Own It! Outlet Store open

It was a busy and wonderful day for everyone!

On February 7th, the first ever ML Conference Honor Band and Choir was held at Rush City HS. The event included a 7-8 Band, 7-8 Choir, and a 9th Grade Band. Students from Ogilvie taking advantage of this opportunity were: Addy M. and Scarlette F. (7-8 Band), and Riker K., Esme D., Mila M. and Kendra K. (7-8 Choir). The day included practices and a tremendous concert with other top musicians in our conference. It was a great learning experience for all.

Mr. Bozman's Life Science classes dissected earthworms today to get hands-on experience identifying organs and seeing how organ systems are set up within living things. This also allowed the students to compare similarities of the worm's anatomy to other types of organisms. A great learning experience for these 7th graders!
