The Sheriffs Are Being Arrested... and We Need Your Help to Bail Them Out!
On Friday, August 14, some of our community's finest will find themselves on the wrong side of the bars—but don't worry, it's all in good fun!
Our participating sheriffs will be "arrested" for supporting the community and will have just 5 hours to raise enough bail to earn their freedom. The only way out? Friends, family, businesses, and community members coming together to make donations toward their bail.
Every dollar raised supports UNITY Community Action Council's programs and services, helping individuals and families throughout our community with emergency assistance, youth development, education, and other life-changing resources.
Here's How It Works:
🚔 On August 14, participating sheriffs will be "taken into custody."
⏰ They have 5 hours to raise their bail.
💵 Community members can "post bail" by making a donation of any amount.
🏆 The sheriff who raises the most bail earns ultimate bragging rights—and, of course, their freedom!
This isn't just about friendly competition—it's about making a real difference. Your donation helps provide hope, support, and opportunities for families who need it most.
Whether you donate $10, $25, $50, or more, every contribution gets our sheriffs one step closer to freedom while helping build a stronger community for everyone.

The men and women of the Montezuma Police Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Montezuma Downtown Development Authority for doing an outstanding job in securing the Flint Energies Community Mural Grant for Downtown Montezuma.

A special thank you also goes to artist Christoph Johnson for creating such an incredible and eye-catching piece of artwork that beautifully enhances our downtown area and reflects the pride of our community.

This mural is another example of what can be accomplished through strong partnerships, community vision, and a commitment to making Montezuma an even better place to live, work, and visit.

We are excited about the positive momentum taking place in our city, and there are many more great updates to come soon!
