As the frequency of both bicycles and e-bikes increase in town, we wanted to take a moment to remind the community of some important guidelines. E-bikes are still bicycles and rules of the road need to be followed! Also, no bikes of any kind are permitted on any of Ogunquit's beaches. We want everyone to have a happy and SAFE summer in our beautiful town; please help us make that happen!

Due to the mildly depressing weather forecast for tomorrow, the Town of Ogunquit has opted to cancel our Memorial Day Parade. We hope everyone still finds a way to honor and remember all those who have served. And hey, it doesn't hurt to pray for better weather while you're at it 🌞

Some of you may not know that we beef up for the summer with our seasonal Community Service Officer program. These CSOs perform a myriad of tasks for our town (not just parking enforcement!). We wanted to take a moment to share CSO Nolette, who earlier this week located a missing four year old child on Main Beach. Due to his quick response and diligence, CSO Nolette had the scared child reunited with his mother less than ten minutes from when he took the report. 👏 We have an amazing team of CSOs this summer, so please be kind to them, appreciate them and know that you can always go to them for help.

On the morning of Wednesday, June 3rd, Ogunquit PD will be running their leg of the Maine Law Enforcement Torch Run (for Special Olympics)! We will be receiving the torch from York Maine Police Department and running it to the town line where we pass the flame of hope to Wells Police. The torch gets carried by law enforcement officers statewide until it reaches the Special Olympics Maine Summer Games in Orono. Please join us, donate, or just cheer as we run (slowly) by! 👮‍♂️🏃‍➡️
