From the Great Lakes to the National Forest, Northwest Pennsylvania is rich in outdoor assets—but there’s more potential to unlock.
We’re asking residents, visitors, and outdoor recreation users to take a short survey about:
✔️ How you recreate
✔️ The outdoor places you value most
✔️ How outdoor recreation can support local and regional economies
Your input will help inform a Northwest PA Outdoor Recreation Economy Study & Toolkit, guiding future planning, investment, and collaboration across the region.

In honor of our dear friend Jo Cramer, who passed away in February 2025, the Northwest Commission invites you to contribute to a month-long memorial drive benefiting Precious Paws Animal Rescue by donating dog and cat food, toys, cleaning supplies like floor cleaner, laundry detergent, and paper towels, or monetary gifts via checks made payable to "Precious Paws," with drop-offs accepted at 395 Seneca Street in Oil City from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, until February 27, 2026.
