We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the anonymous individual who generously donated their time, labor, and resources to improve the landscaping around our main office. 🙏🙌

Their hard work included removing garbage, clearing weeds and old trees, and planting beautiful flowers and vegetables in our flower beds. The effort, dedication, and personal expense that went into this project did not go unnoticed.

The transformation has made a tremendous difference, and the grounds look absolutely wonderful. Your kindness and willingness to give back to our organization are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for helping make our office a more welcoming and beautiful place for everyone. Your generosity and hard work are truly valued! 🌷🌻🥕🌿

Change starts with us. 💙

This Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we’re reminded that healing often begins with one powerful act: believing survivors. When survivors are met with support instead of blame, compassion instead of doubt, we help create pathways to healing and justice.

The statistics in these images are a call to action, but they are also a reminder that we can do better. Every time we listen, support, advocate, and speak up, we help change the culture that allows survivors to be silenced.

Be the person who believes.
Be the person who listens.
Be the person who stands with survivors.

Together, we can build a community where survivors are met with dignity, support, and hope. Start by believing, because your response can make all the difference.

💙 Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

Did you know?

Only 13% of adolescent sexual assault cases are reported to police. That means the vast majority of survivors are carrying their experiences in silence.

Before ever reaching out to law enforcement, survivors typically confide in 2–3 trusted people. That first response matters more than we often realize.

✨ Friends and family play a critical role.
The way we respond can influence whether someone feels safe enough to seek help, access services, or report what happened.

So what can you do?

✔️ Believe them
✔️ Listen without judgment
✔️ Let them lead the conversation
✔️ Ask how you can support them
✔️ Avoid “why” questions

Your response could be the reason someone chooses to heal, seek help, or speak out.

Let’s be the kind of community that survivors can trust. 💙

One moment. One choice. One response… can change everything.

The truth is hard to hear, but it matters: many offenders don’t stop after one assault. And too often, survivors aren’t believed, supported, or taken seriously the first time they speak up.

That silence? That doubt? It can cost others their safety.

We have the power to do better.

Start by believing.
Start by listening.
Start by creating a space where survivors feel safe to speak.

Because when we show up with compassion instead of judgment, we don’t just support one person, we help prevent future harm.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month 💙

Have you heard of the Start by Believing campaign?

It’s about something simple, but powerful: changing how we respond when someone shares their experience of sexual assault.

When survivors are met with doubt, blame, or questioning, it can deepen trauma and prevent them from seeking help or justice. But when we start by believing, listening, supporting, and responding with care, we help break the cycle of silence.

This approach matters not just in our personal lives, but across systems too. When professionals begin from a place of belief and then follow the evidence with fairness and integrity, it leads to stronger outcomes and greater accountability.

💬 What can you do?
• Listen without judgment
• Avoid “why” questions
• Offer support and ask how you can help
• Believe survivors

Belief is not the end of the process; it’s the beginning of a better one.
