We want to let everyone know that the wildlife refuge is currently conducting a controlled burn. If you see smoke in the air, this may be the cause.

However if you see an active fire or believe there may be an emergency please call 911 immediately to report it.

We are proud to announce that Justin and Kayla Roberts are now certified as Swiftwater Rescue Level 2 Rescuers!

Continued education and training help make our department stronger and better prepared to serve and protect our community in a variety of emergency situations.

Okay Fire was thankful for the opportunity to assist one of our community citizens after a tree fell on her home during the recent storms.

We are grateful to have the ability to step in, lend a helping hand, and be there for our neighbors when they need us. This is what serving our community is all about.

🚒 Yesterday our fire department responded to a structure fire caused by the storm that resulted in an electrical fire spreading throughout the attic.

Our firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and were able to save the homeowners’ home. We are grateful to everyone who responded and helped protect our community.

A special Thank You to Toppers Fire, Taylor Ferry Fire, and Wagoner County Emergency Management for your assistance and support. We truly appreciate working alongside such dedicated agencies and community partners.

Most importantly, we are thankful that the homeowners are safe and that we were able to protect their home.

📚Back to School Bash Success📚

The Okay Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cherokee Nation and the Town of Okay for allowing us to be a part of this years Back to School Bash!

It was an honor to spend time with our community, meet so many wonderful families, and help celebrate the start of a new school year. Events like these are a great reminder of what makes our community so special.

We hope all students have a safe,fun, and successful school year and don’t hesitate to stop by and say hello when you see us around town.

Thank you again to Cherokee Nation and Town of Okay for including us. We appreciate the opportunity to serve our community both on and off emergency calls.

This morning, the Okay Fire Department responded to a structure fire in our community. We are thankful for the quick response and outstanding teamwork that helped bring the situation under control.

Toppers Fire, Wagoner Fire, WCSO, Wagoner EMS, Wagoner County Emergency Management.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork displayed by everyone involved. It is partnerships like these that help keep the community safe.

We are pleased to announce that yesterday while working with one of our mutual aid partners Toppers Fire, we successfully completed our water shuttle training. This training provided valuable hands on experience in establishing and operating an efficient water shuttle operation, a critical skill for supplying water to fire scenes where hydrants are unavailable or inadequate.
Participants demonstrated teamwork, communication, and proficiency in tanker operations, portable tank set up, water transfer and overall incident coordination. The dedication and professionalism shown throughout the training reflect these departments ongoing commitment to preparedness and providing the highest level of service to our communities.
Thank you to all personnel who participated, as well as the instructors and support staff who made this training a success.

Our fire department recently completed specialized training in “Stop the Bleed” to strengthen our skills and enhance the services we provide to our community. Ongoing training ensures that our firefighters are prepared to respond safely and effectively to emergencies while staying current with the latest techniques and best practices. Okay Fire would like to thank Lt. Deputy Justin Hutton for volunteering his time to come teach “Stop the Bleed” to our department.
