Okeechobee County Ag-Venture Ag-venture is a new, exciting way to educate area children on the importance of agriculture, using a hands-on approach targeted to their level.

An organization that offers a free, one day program for fourth graders to gain experience, understand agriculture and participate in hands-on learning about their food origins. Okeechobee County Ag-Venture, Inc., an organization that offers a free one day program which provides a great opportunity for fourth graders (public, private and home schooled) to gain experience, understanding and the ap

preciation of our local agricultural industry. This program is free to all students and executed by volunteers. We operate on donations. These donations cover the cost of the facilities, materials for the 12 stations, student bus transportation, Ag-Venture t-shirts and bags for each student and volunteer, as well as the volunteer & student lunch. Volunteers are the key to our success. About 100 volunteers are needed. Ag commodity groups, businesses, organizations and individuals join in a partnership to make
Ag-Venture fun, educational and a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Ag-Venture comes to life thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors and community partners who believe in the importance of agricultural education.
We are also deeply grateful for the many volunteers who make this event possible. From dedicated 4-H and FFA members to community volunteers, their time and enthusiasm help inspire the next generation.

That’s a wrap on Ag-Venture 2026!
Over the past two days, hundreds of students got a hands-on look at Florida agriculture.
A huge thank you to the many volunteers, farmers, ranchers, and industry partners who gave their time to make this event possible. Because of you, the kids of Okeechobee were able to learn just how important agriculture is to our community and our state.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped plant these seeds of knowledge for the next generation.

We had an AG-solutely awesome first day at Ag-Venture! From gators to groves, bees to beef, students explored the incredible world of Florida agriculture. Safe to say we’re tire-d and wiped out after all that learning… Good thing we' will rest up because tomorrow we get to roll right into Day 2 fun!
