‼️We are proud to announce that Hydro Fire Department has been awarded funding through FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program to build a brand-new water tanker!

AFG vehicle acquisition grants are extremely competitive, with only a small number awarded nationwide each year (less than 10%). Being selected is a tremendous honor and a huge step forward for our department.

This funding will allow us to replace our 1980’s semi tanker, giving us safer, more reliable equipment to better protect the Town of Hydro, rural citizens and surrounding communities. The new tanker will greatly improve our ability to respond quickly and effectively to fires and emergencies.

We are incredibly grateful to FEMA and the AFG program for making this possible, and to our community for the continued support of our department!

Great news! The White House approved the state's request for FEMA Individual Assistance for 7 counties after March wildfires. Residents in Cleveland, Creek, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee, and Payne counties can register at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA.
