These two cuties were picked up this morning. Do you know where they belong? If we are unable to find their owners we then will ask for someone to adopt. If no one wants these pups, the city has no choice but to euthanize. Please spay or neuter your dogs. You have no idea how hard it is for us to choose which dogs to put on the vet list.

We received a complaint this morning from a property owner that someone had chained a dog to a tree on their property. Sure enough, this pretty lady was left chained, in the heat, no food or water and had been there long enough to dig a hole trying to stay cool. This is not acceptable!!! Please share and help me find this dog’s owner.

It was brought to our attention by Amazon delivery drivers and the trash company that deliveries would be much more efficient in Okemah if everyone had house numbers. The codes require numbers that are legible and visible from the road. This is not only helpful for deliveries and trash pickup, but could be life saving if an ambulance is trying to locate your home. Please make efforts to add those numbers as soon as possible. If you have a neighbor that is elderly or disabled and unable to do theirs, please send me a message.

Just a reminder it’s a code violation to blow your grass in the street. Also, I’m doing another round of grass abatements. If you haven’t mowed and your grass is taller than 12” you may be on the list. If you have an elderly or disabled neighbor that can’t mow, please call or message me. Thank you to everyone that’s working hard to keep their yards mowed and looking nice!!!

We on the hunt for the owners of this pup. She’s been hanging on North 3rd Street for a while. We haven’t been able to catch her in the live trap. She can’t stay at the house she’s claimed, so we need to catch her or find her owners.
