Animal Rescue League of Okemah is an all volunteer, non-profit, foster based rescue. Meaning we do not have a shelter/facility to house animals. We rely on people willing to open up their homes to give animals a safe place to stay temporarily.
Our mission:
"To provide a voice for the animals of Okemah. To save the lives of Okemah's strays and unwanted animals. To educate on the importance of spaying and neutering, to reduce the pet overpopulation and to teach overall responsible pet ownership. "
We save animals from euthanasia from the local shelter, we save neglected and abused animals from the streets, we assist owners when they can no longer care for their pets. We offer low-cost and accessible spay/neuter services to the public. We help animals how ever we can when our resources will allow.
