With back-to-school season in full swing, sports physicals and annual checkups are top of mind for many Michigan families. The teams at Corewell Health are committed to working year-round to ensure students have the tools and skills for a healthy future. 🫀📈

Knowing sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death in young athletes, the Student Heart Check (SHC) program brings volunteer cardiologists, clinical staff and mobile diagnostic equipment into Michigan schools to deliver no‑cost cardiac screenings to students ages 13-18, regardless of athletic status.

Rural residents face unique challenges when it comes to accessing behavioral healthcare services. In response to this, the teams at McKenzie Health System launched the Peace of Mind Clinic in 2024 to expand access to behavioral health services in rural Sanilac County where residents previously had limited access to psychiatric care.

Since opening, it has served hundreds of patients from more than 40 rural communities. Early results include strong patient engagement and a reduction in hospital encounters for behavioral health conditions. Read more ➡️ https://bit.ly/4fPkIjv
