On June 10, 2026, OBN's Ma*****na Enforcement Teams (MET) served a Search Warrant at Anima Growing LLC (22006 NS 406 Road) in Nowata, Oklahoma.
The Search Warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal cultivation, obtaining an OBN Registration by fraud using a 'straw ownership' scheme, and distribution of ma*****na onto the black market.
OBN MET Agents seized 49,257 ma*****na plants, and 7 people were taken into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Additional arrests are anticipated as this case continues.
Agencies assisting OBN MET during the Search Warrant included the Nowata County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Nowata County Commissioner Paul Crupp's office.
OBN MET is an elite unit created in 2021 targeting domestic and transnational criminal organizations tied to black market ma*****na trafficking, money laundering, and fraud within Oklahoma's ma*****na program.
The OBN MET Unit has been recognized nationally for pioneering the model blueprint for criminal ma*****na enforcement.
Since the inception of OBN MET, Oklahoma has moved from a peak of 8,400 farms operating with an active OBN Registration in 2022, down to 1,350 grows with an active OBN Registration, today.
Since 2021, OBN MET Agents have seized over 2.4 million illegal ma*****na plants, more than 295,000 pounds of processed ma*****na, and made over 400 arrests with additional arrests pending as many of these investigations remain ongoing.
