We apologize for the late notice, but we were just made aware that ODOT will temporarily close the S. Douglas Blvd exit from I-40 in both directions beginning Friday, 20Feb2026 at 2000 (CST) through 1800 on 22Feb2026. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes.
-S. Douglas Blvd. will be closed in both directions between SE 29th St. and Renny Rd.
-I-40 eastbound and westbound on-ramps and off-ramps at S. Douglas Blvd. will also be closed.
-SSM Health St. Anthony Healthplex will be accessible from the south only via Douglas Blvd.
-44th Avenue remains closed for a separate project. Drivers should use I-240 or 59th St. to access Douglas Blvd. south of I-40. The project includes removing temporary asphalt pavement and installing the permanent top asphalt lift on S. Douglas Blvd.

Due to expected inclement weather, the Tinker Installation Commander has directed a base closure from 5 a.m.-11p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, for day shift and swing shift employees. If you are telework-eligible, your telework agreement will dictate your work status in-coordination with your supervisor.

The Installation Commander will continue to reassess the situation tomorrow to determine an appropriate time to reopen the base. Base personnel should continue to monitor Tinker AFB social media accounts, website, or call the Tinker Straight Talk Line at 405-734-TALK (8255) for base operating status. Do not call base operations, the Tinker Command Post, or security forces for weather updates. The Tinker Main Gate and Gott Gate will remain open.

***Update***

The Arnold Road Express will be open at 6 a.m. Personnel driving on base during this weather are reminded to slow down, especially when driving through parking lots.
