We are looking for volunteer models to participate in a photo shoot for printed and online health materials. Are you pregnant (late second, early third trimester)? Or are you a mom with a baby between 1 and 2 years? We are also looking for nurses willing to participate. The shoot will take place in White Plains, NY, at the March of Dimes National Office on Nov 12-13. Submit a recent photo, contact information, your baby’s name (if applicable) and current age to [email protected]. Let us know if your partner or spouse will be available to participate as well!

State employees and the general public are invited to join in the Walk for Victims of Domestic Violence at noon on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 on the south lawn of the State Capitol. Participants and Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) staff are encouraged to wear purple this and every Thursday in October in recognition of domestic violence awareness.

Following the walk, participants are invited to visit the Domestic Violence Task Force booth at the State Capitol Health Expo and attend the Wreath of Hope Ceremony at 1 p.m. The ceremony honors those who have lost their lives due to domestic violence. DHS Director Ed Lake will be a featured speaker. The ceremony is free and open to the public and is hosted by the Oklahoma Attorney General's office, the YWCA-OKC and Verizon Wireless.

We are looking for NICU and preemie photos to be used for both printed and online materials for our upcoming newly designed website as well as on the Peek-a-boo ICU community FB page, and in our Journey Bead Bedside Program. If you are willing to participate, please submit via email a (high resolution) photo with your baby’s name, gestational age at birth, and any details about the picture to: [email protected] with the title: Promotional Pictures
We are looking specifically for “Journey through the NICU” and “Preemies by gestational age” pictures as well as photos of your NICU Journey Bead Collection.
