Need some color in your life now that the leaves have fallen and the plants are dormant? Check out the newest artwork in the City’s collection at the corner of Sheridan Avenue and Walker Avenue. The huge, 6,000-square-foot burst of color can now be seen at the EMBARK Sheridan/Walker Garage. The new mural, titled A Symphony in Bloom, by Denver-based artist Adden Joule Davis, features large, vibrant depictions of flora and fauna.

Davis found the inspiration for his piece during a visit to Oklahoma City, after spending time at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. He also incorporated some of John Rex Elementary School’s color palette to further tie his art to the area.

Last call! Submit cherished photos and memories from the Oklahoma State Fair or other OKC Fair Park events to be permanently sealed in a time capsule at the base of the newly completed landmark sculpture “Bolt Tower.”

How to submit memories
All photo submissions must include a description to ensure their proper preservation and context.
• WHAT TO SEND: A JPEG or PDF of your photo(s). Please limit file size to 4MB.
• REQUIRED INFORMATION: A description of the event, including the year the photo was taken and the names of the people featured in the image.
• WHERE TO SEND: Email the image file to [email protected].
• DEADLINE: Submissions must be received no later than Dec. 22, 2025, at 6 p.m.

Nick Bayer of Createco Studios does it again.

“Howdy is a common Oklahoma greeting that can be heard across the entire state,” Bayer said. “It's a friendly way to welcome a guest, whether it's a visitor from out of town or your best friend. That is exactly what I want this artwork to be: a friendly hello to a passerby. Doesn't matter if you're from out of state or from around the corner, ‘Howdy’ is a friendly Oklahoma Hello.”

Reminiscing about the Oklahoma State Fair? As part of OKC’s newest public art, you could make your memories last forever.

Jenny Sabin Studio invites you to share cherished Fair Park photos and memories. Submit photos at https://tally.so/r/3yjqqB by Tuesday, Sept. 30. The submitted images will be permanently stored in a 3D-printed time capsule at the base of “Bolt Tower.”

“Bolt Tower” can be found between the Bennett Event Center and the OG&E Coliseum. The sculpture pays tribute to OKC Fair Park's 118-year history, including the livestock shows, 89er games, concerts, sporting events, monorail and space tower.

The sculpture was funded through Oklahoma City's 1% for the Arts program as part of the voter-approved MAPS 4 construction of the new OG&E Coliseum.
