April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, and is committed to raising awareness, supporting survivors, and fostering a culture of dignity and respect. This month serves as a focused time for the Tinker community to reinforce its commitment to eliminating sexual assault.

While April is recognized as SAAPM, the effort to combat sexual assault is a year-round commitment. Throughout April, a series of events will be held to promote awareness and provide opportunities for education and support.

So if you’re a union member in good standing (or you’ve produced a child or grandchild who is 😄), and they’re graduating by May 2026 and heading to college, trade school, Metro Tech, or beyond… this is their moment. Literally. This exact moment. Because there may never be another.

📢 Facility Security Update

For the safety of our staff and visitors, we have implemented enhanced security measures in our building.

🔐 Effective immediately:

• The main entrance will be the only access point for entering or exiting the building.

• Access to the secured interior area will now be through the hallway door and requires being buzzed in by our front office administrators.

• All other doors will remain secured and unavailable for entry.
These steps are being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
