Mahaffie Elementary PTO This page has been created for Parent communication at Mahaffie Elementary School. Mahaffie opened in the fall of 1991. We have 22 classroom teachers.

We are one of 34 elementary schools in the Olathe School District, a district that is nationally recognized for its educational excellence. Mahaffie Elementary School is one of 34 elementary schools in the Olathe School District, a district that is nationally recognized for its educational excellence. We have a student body of approximately 400 students, including PreK -5th grade. A commitment to

educating all children is demonstrated by the high level of student, staff, parent and community involvement. Students are involved through the Mahaffie Leadership Team. Staff members work collaboratively on a variety of school improvement committees. Parents and community members are active participants on the school site council and PTO. Parents serve as “Mahaffie Volunteer Parents/MVP” and “Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students)”. Mahaffie’s mascot is the noble Knight and our school colors are red and black

Join the Summer Reading 2026 "Read, Score, Roar!" Challenge for Kids! The kids' challenge is open to children entering 5th grade and younger. From May 18 to August 2, Join the Summer Reading 2026 "Read, Score, Roar!" Challenge a Metro-Summer Reading Challenge. We challenge the children in our community to read and log at least one book during the summer. Earn fun badges for logging your reading. Read and log at least one book to earn a free book! THE LAST DAY TO PICK UP PRIZES IS AUGUST 16, 2026!
