National Women Veterans Recognition Day marks the anniversary of the 1948 law that first allowed women to serve as permanent members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Before this act, women served in limited roles and their contributions were often not formally acknowledged. After the law passed, women could finally serve permanently, be recognized as veterans, and receive the benefits they earned.
We’re proud to recognize several veterans on our team today, including Capt. Gammell and Det. Fisher shown here.
We appreciate your service to our nation and your continued commitment here at JCSO!
