Stormy has gone to his forever home and his new owner updated us that he is settling in nicely and enjoying his big cat sister. His human sibs are enjoying him as well!
Wyatt has been adopted!!
*** UPDATE: This post has garnered a lot of likes and comments, but no one has come to see Willie π’ ***
In June of 2022, the Old Bridge Police Department was provided with video evidence that a resident had physically abused his dog at least two times. In one video, the resident was seen kicking his dog and in a second video he was seen slamming his dogβs head into his front door.
Upon viewing this video, the dog, Willie, a young brown and white Pitbull, was removed from his home and entered into the care of the Old Bridge Animal Shelter. His owner was criminally charged with Animal Cruelty.
Since that time, Willie has lived at the Old Bridge Animal Shelter and has been available for adoption. Unfortunately for Willie, he has been overlooked.
On July 31, 2023, Willieβs owner was sentenced to 12 months probation.
Unfortunately, Willie is still serving his sentence and will be until someone adopts him. If you are interested in adopting Willie, please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Will is young - about 2 years old. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. From his closest caretaker: "Willie is super sweet and affectionate but takes some time to become affectionate with new people.
He is very playful and knows all his basic commands.
Given his strength we recommend no children under 7 or 8.
He seems to like most dogs but a meet would be required."
The Old Bridge Animal Shelter does not "cat test" our dogs.
Willie has spent some time in a foster's home and they described him as a wonderful house guest. While we would consider a foster home for Willie - the ultimate goal is to get him adopted.
Feeling generous? We have an Amazon Wish list! We have added some of our animals favorite items. You can easily have them shipped directly to the shelter! It's a great way to help out :)
Luka has been adopted!!
*** UPDATE: Archie will be getting his vaccinations and neutered on Monday, August 14. He will be available for visits and adoption after that ***
This is Archie.
We think he is a mix of Irish wolfhound and Irish setter.
He's about 3 to 4 years old.
Loves all people and would be good with kids.
Seems to like most dogs but a meet and greet would be required.
Knows all his basic commands.
Please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300 with any questions.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
Meet Polly, the cutest blue-eyed, lop eared bunny.
Miss Polly was found roaming the street and no one ever came to claim her.
Polly is a sweet girl - but a little skittish. She will let you pet her and pick her up but isn't quite sure if she enjoys it just yet.
If Polly isn't your type, we have many other small and furry animals at the shelter right now who are in need of loving homes.
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
This is our man Stan.
We have posted him before, but he hasn't gotten any interest.
We aren't sure why, as Stan is the sweetest little man you could ever meet!
He loves attention and waits at the front of his cage for you to pet him, and once you do he starts cooing and "popcorning" which is a sign of a very happy pig!
He was surrendered to us with another adult guinea pig and 3 of their babies. 2 of the babies have since been adopted, but Stan, Gerty, and their baby Onyx are still here.
Come meet them today!
Wyatt is available for adoption!
This is Wyatt. He was found in Cheesequake State Park a few weeks ago. He is a Cairn Terrier and believed to be about 5 years old. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. The woman who found him reported that Wyatt did not get along with her dogs and that he bit her. We have not seen that behavior at the shelter, but to be safe, Wyatt should be the only dog in the home and no children under 12 years old. Wyatt loves to go on walks, get human attention and play with toys.
Please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300.

This dog is currently in our shelter. He is a male. He appears to be about 7 to 10 years old. He is light brown with white. He may be a Staghound mix or Irish Wolfhound mix. No microchip was detected. Please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300 if you know who owns this dog.
Lily has been adopted! Thank you to her new family for adopting from the Old Bridge Animal Shelter.
Meet Splash, Sailor and Salty - 11 week old kittens.
These 3 girls spent some time recovering from an upper respiratory infection - which is why Splash and Salty have some scarring in their eyes, but not to worry, that doesn't stop them from being the sweet playful kittens that they are! They appear shy at first, but once you start petting them, they start purring and will meow for your attention once you stop.
These girls are up to date on all age appropriate medical and ready for their new homes!
Please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter for more info: (732) 721-5600 x6300.
Cora has been adopted!
Missing Conure from Greenwood Drive in Old Bridge. If you see "Tangerine" please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300.

HELP NEEDED!!!
Need to rehome my two bunnies!
I have 1 male (the big guy) and 1 female (petite lady) pair-bonded, 2.5 year old bunnies (neutered, spayed, litter trained, not injected) that need to find a new homeβ¦β¦like yesterday - so, ASAP!!!
They are sweet and friendly and loving, but arenβt getting the right attention because Iβm CRAZY allergic to them
The realization that I need to find them a new home hits hard every time I play with them because my eyes and nose just don't stop running.
They were tossed by their owners a year and a half ago, and I rescued them so they wouldnβt end up road kill or hawk food.
They need a family (preferably holistic-minded) who fully understands rabbit keeping, will feed them hay and fresh greens, let them free range and give them a safe, loving , indoor home.
They come with litter, litter boxes, and a supply of hay.
If you have you or anybody you know would fit the bill and love these guys, DM me.

*** UPDATE: No one claimed this dog. He did bite the woman who found him, so he is currently on a bite hold until Monday 07/24. At that time he will be temperment tested and scheduled for a rabbies vaccination. If you are interested in adopting him, please contact the shelter directly next week at (732) 721-5600 x6300 ***
A woman found this dog running loose in Cheesequake Park 2 days ago. He was wearing a harness and is microchipped but no tags. Appears to be an intact male not sure on age. The woman that found him put the diaper on because he was marking but he wasn't found with it on. If you know who owns this dog please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300.
White Rabbit Found
This white rabbit was found on Perrine and Cheesequake Road in Old Bridge. If you are missing a rabbit from this area, please contact the Old Bridge Animal Shelter at (732) 721-5600 x6300.
Let's re-share Reino because he is not getting any visitors :(
In May 2023 Reino was rescued recently from a neglectful situation in Old Bridge where he had spent his entire life tethered outdoors with just a short lead to run in some weeds. Thankfully, Old Bridge Public Works employees were working nearby and saw how much he longed for human interaction. They couldnβt stand to see the conditions he was living in. They contacted the OBPD and Animal Control and Reino was rescued and is well on the way to his new life!
Reino is a pitt mix. He is young (under a year) and still has lots of puppy energy and can play rough with his mouth when excited. Reino will be neutered and then available for adoption. An experienced dog home without young children would be best. He is going to be a strong, big boy.
Please share far and wide so Reino can get started on the life he so surely deserves. He needs to make up for lost time.
Call the Old Bridge Animal Shelter with any questions: (732) 721-5600 x6300.
