Almost all businesses carry insurance and for many, they say business interruption insurance exists within policies. The detailed information below will outline the basic premise of business interruption insurance and what could generally be considered a claim. YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR with your insurance provider to understand your coverage and what, if any claims you may have. IF YOU HAVE IT, WHAT IS BUSINESS INTERRUPTION INSURANCE? UNDERSTANDING BUSINESS INTERRUPTION INSURANCE.

Business interruption insurance is insurance coverage that replaces business income lost in a disaster. The event could be, for example, a fire or a natural disaster. WHAT IS CLOSED IN NEW JERSEY?
In an effort to promote social distancing to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the following are closed.
• K-12 public, private and parochial schools
• Universities
• Casinos
• Nightclubs
• Performing Arts Centers and other concert venues
• Racetracks
• Movie theaters
• Gyms and fitness centers
• Indoor malls
• Indoor amusement centers and amusement parks
• All non-essential retail, recreational and entertainment businesses after 8pm

• Thursday, March 19, 2020, Governor Murphy ordered the closure of all personal-care businesses
which cannot comply with social distancing guidelines, including barber shops and hair salons, spas,nail and eyelash salons, tattoo parlors, and social clubs at 8pm until further notice.

NOTE:
Childcare centers are still open. The decision to close is up to the individual center. They may consult with the local health department about closing.
Limit of gatherings of more than 50 people, even in homes
Restaurants and bars are open but are limited to take-out and delivery. Delivery may occur during daytime and after 8pm.
Supermarkets, pharmacies, medical supply stores, and gas stations are open. Non-essential non-emergency travel curfew from 8pm-5am is also in effect

We like to remind you that excessive price increases are defined as price increases that are more than 10 percent higher than the price at which merchandise was sold during the normal course of business prior to the state of emergency. The NJ Division of Consumer Affairs has set up a hotline for price gouging complaints related to coronavirus. Residents can call 973-504-6240 to report any price gouging concerns.

As with any rapidly evolving situation, please continue to monitor the CDC’s website for the most recent information and LINCS messages for recent updates.

Recycling Center closed to curbside recyclable items. Only accepting metal, electronics, carpet, mattresses, brick and concrete, motor oil and cooking oil

Center is closed daily from 11AM to 1PM. One car at a time permitted in the Recycling Center. All curbside items (bottles, cans, cardboard, paper, newspaper) should be recycled with the townships curbside pickup.
