We understand so little! God’s thoughts are as far above ours as heaven is above the earth. But He knows the plans He has for us, and they are important. Sometimes we feel as though our life is insignificant, but all of us are part of God’s sovereign design. Your life is important, and you can step confidently forward knowing Your Lord is already there.

We are created to glorify Him as long as we live on this planet, and to enjoy Him for the rest of eternity. Our task is simply to trust and obey.
Elisabeth Elliott

Most Christians do not have encounters with angels; like Mary and Joseph did, our life-changing experiences are usually based on God’s Word. He transforms our lives and uses us to do His will and work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God, in His wisdom, may not show us His entire plan for our lives. He gently leads us on a journey of faith––one step at a time. Even if we do not fully understand the path God is leading us on, we must simply trust and
obey Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him,and He shall direct your paths.
~Proverbs 3:5-6~

Got this from another post...

Why Did JESUS Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection? I never noticed this.... The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. . The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!' Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple out ran Peter and got there first. He stopped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.. Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm finished.." But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because.......... The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

Neglecting Christian Duties

Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
James 4:17

Consider the words James used to conclude this important Scripture. Christians will be held accountable to it. If we know to do something good and yet we ignore doing it, it becomes sin. Obedience is such an important thing in the life of a Christian. Whatever God tells us to do, we need to do it.
Has God shown you a specific need in the body of Christ? Once God ministers to you, do you do anything about it? God wants people to worship Him in Spirit and in truth, which includes obeying the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our hearts to do good.

Christians are to meet the needs that God has shown them. The Scriptures teach us to do good:

Proverbs 3:27: Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.

Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Galatians 6:2: Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Hebrews 6:10: For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 13:16: But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
~John Wesley~

If you find yourself loving any pleasure more than your prayers, any book better than the Bible, any house better than the house of the Lord, any table better than the Lord's table, any persons better than Christ, or any indulgence better than the hope of heaven - be alarmed

The first truth is that the will of God permeates and supersedes every aspect of life. It is God's will that takes precedence over everything and everyone (Matthew 6:33). God's plans and purposes are fixed, and His will is inviolable. What He has purposed, He will bring to pass, and no government can thwart His will (Daniel 4:34-35). In fact, it is God who "sets up kings and deposes them" (Daniel 2:21) because "the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone He wishes" (Daniel 4:17). A clear understanding of this truth will help us to see that politics is merely a method God uses to accomplish His will. Even though evil men abuse their political power, meaning it for evil, God means it for good, working "all things together for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28).

Got Questions?
How should a Christian view politics?

There is value in obedience. Often we think we have a better idea or plan than God. But once we execute our plan we lose the opportunity of seeing how beneficial God’s plan would have been. Saul, the first king of Israel, learned the hard way that God delights in obedience more than anything else. When Saul substituted his plan for God’s, it cost him the throne of Israel (1 Samuel 15).

One of the greatest challenges of the Christian life is to learn that God says what He says for a reason. Better to take Him at His word.

Beware of reasoning about God’s Word—obey it!

Be wise and gracious in your speech. Don’t be consumed by the errors of a foolish tongue.

The heart is the metal of the bell, the tongue but is the clapper.

Life is filled with uncertainty. But that should never keep us from making decisions based on prayer and counsel and trusting God with the outcome. Submit all your uncertainties to the certainty of God’s providence.

Nothing in the world causes so much misery as uncertainty.
Martin Luther

If you’re worried about something happening around you, turn to God in faith and respond to Him in righteousness. No one can lay hands on God’s anointed unless he is given permission to do so. God is ever present with us, just as He was with Elijah.

Faith, which is trust, and fear are opposite poles. If a man has the one, he can scarcely have the other in vigorous operation. He that has his trust set upon God does not need to dread anything except the weakening or the paralyzing of that trust.
Alexander Maclaren

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:18

Instead of relegating God to a specific time each day, intentionally seek to weave your awareness of Him throughout your day. He is present and waiting for you to invite Him into each moment of your unfolding life.

Few people arise in the morning as hungry for God as they are for cornflakes or toast and eggs.
Dallas Willard

Sometimes we need some good nourishment, a little sleep, a faithful friend, and a new assignment. Don’t give up. God’s plan is right on schedule.

Should we feel at times disheartened and discouraged, a simple movement of heart toward God will renew our powers.

God loves you; it’s His nature to love—and that’s a proposal that deserves full acceptance.

If I thought I could only make the world believe that God is love, I would only take that text and go up and down the earth, trying to counteract what Satan has been telling them.
