Tour #2 your Check In will begin at 9.

Hello Bigfoot Historical Ghost Walk Attendees,

We are keeping a close eye on the weather as we prepare for the 4th Annual Bigfoot Historical Ghost Walk & Investigation.

At this time, we are planning to proceed with Friday evening’s event as scheduled. A little rain won’t scare Bigfoot—or us! However, the safety of our guests, volunteers, guides, and participating businesses is our first priority.

In the event of severe weather or thunderstorms that make it necessary for us to cancel Friday evening’s event, the Bigfoot Historical Ghost Walk & Investigation will be rescheduled for Saturday, August 29th, following the WNC Bigfoot Festival.

Should a weather-related change become necessary, we will notify ticket holders as soon as possible with updated check-in and tour times.

Please continue to watch your email and our social media pages for any event updates.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. We’re looking forward to a fun and memorable weekend of Bigfoot, history, mystery, and a few ghost stories along the way!

PLEASE DO NOT accept tickets from anyone other than The McDowell County Historical Society. The names on the tickets are the only people that can get entry and can not be resold unless we have been notified and spoken to the attendees.

I have noticed that there are many people pretending that they are attending but they are not. There are no more tickets available online and only 10 tickets left at the door. It appears that people will try to SCAM anyone!

We’ve noticed that our recent post highlighting the special experience planned for our VIP guests and Tour Group 2 may have left some of our Tour Group 1 guests wondering if they’re missing out.

We promise—you are NOT! In fact, we have something pretty exciting waiting for you, too. 👣👻

Tour Group 1 will be heading into Marion’s historic Depot District, where we’ll share stories of bootleggers, local mysteries, a chilling decapitation tale, and a reportedly haunted building that has produced some very interesting evidence during a previous paranormal investigation.

What did they capture?

Well...we can’t ruin the surprise now, can we? 😉

Not only will you have the opportunity to participate in a paranormal investigation of your own, but the shop owner will be joining us to share firsthand accounts of some of the strange and unexplained activity that has taken place inside the building.

And yes—we have video from a previous paranormal investigation to share with you.

What’s on it? Nice try. You’ll have to wait just a few more days to find out! 👻

By the time the evening is over, we hope you’ll know a little more about Marion’s history, some of our town’s unsolved mysteries, local legends, and a few of the places said to be among the most haunted in and around downtown.

But most importantly, we want everyone to have FUN!

This evening is about bringing together history, ghosts, local lore, paranormal mysteries, Bigfoot, and our community for an experience you’ll remember long after the tour is over.

What an amazing surprise today we were offered one of Marion's most haunted buildings to be placed on our tour.

So with only two days to go, we are rerouting our tour to include this building. For those of you who purchased the VIP package or have purchased tour #2 this is going to be a treat.

Bring your cameras, emf's and any hand held equipment and let's see what we can find. We are so excited....
