Old Lyme Police is asking residents to stay vigilant as always due to the ongoing issue with overnight vehicle thefts and larcenies from unlocked motor vehicles. This week alone, we had 1 stolen motor vehicle and over 15 unlocked vehicles entered. This seems to be occurring between 2:00am-5:30am. This is a statewide issue and our town is not immune to it.

Please spread the word!

LOCK YOUR VEHICLES
DO NOT LEAVE KEYS IN VEHICLES
DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN VEHICLES
SHUT YOUR GARAGE DOOR

If you see anything suspicious please call police so we can investigate.

Old Lyme First responders need your help! OLPD, FD, EMS, CSP (and Tazz) have something very special planned...

On June 1st at approximately 1130am the town of Old Lyme will be welcoming a very special summer guest, RJ. RJ is 15 years old and the town is thrilled to have him spend the summer with us.
We will be escorting him and his family from the exit 70 area on 156, stay on 156 and end in the Hawks Nest area. We encourage everyone that can to make signs along our route and show RJ how happy the town is to have him to do so.

Thank you all

We would like to thank everyone for their help in identifying the operator of the white pickup truck on the beach at Old Lyme Shores. Without your help this would not have been possible. At this time the investigation is still ongoing and active.

Thank you all involved in getting this little guy to a safe place. He caused a couple hours of delays and two minor accidents on the highway this afternoon.
After brief foot pursuit he was safely brought into custody. No injures to Crash the Goose. He’s safe now at a Place Called hope awaiting transport to his new (hopefully highway free) home!

On May 4, the little one was separated from its family trying to cross I-95 S/B in Old Lyme. It was running in and out of traffic causing an accident involving two tractor trailers. Thankfully no one or the duck were injured. TFC Weber was able to capture the little one and the duck is now at A Place Called Hope in Killingworth.

Did you know that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month?
The Office of the Resident State Trooper had the privilege of participating in this important event. The stories of the survivors is something that needs to be told.

Join us, Donna Palomba, Amy Chamber, and Tara Flynn, NOW along with State Representative Christine Palm and State Representative Christine Goupil, along with the Connecticut Alliance to End Sexual Violence, Women & Family Life Center as we discuss the prevalence of sexual assault in CT and the nation, hear stories from survivors, discuss services available and what is being done to stop sexual assault.
The event will stream LIVE to my page on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:00PM. https://www.facebook.com/RepChristineGoupil
If you have questions that you would like to ask during the event, please send them to [email protected] or comment on Facebook while we are live.
