New for 2011: - Passport Services Programs/Resources: - Children and Young Adult Programs - Homework Resources - Museum Passes - Community Room Use - Phoebe's Book Cellar - Career and Job Search Links - Genealogy Room Use - Old Lyme Catalog Search - State Catalog Search - Computer Work Stations - Copy and Fax Services - Homebound Services Events: - Phoebe’s Book Chats - The Annual Book Worm Ball (March) - Literature For A Lifetime - CT River Film Forum - Job Now (on our New website) - Artist Receptions -Consumer Report (on our New website) Getting a Library Card: - Residents of Old Lyme and individuals listed as property owners may obtain a free library card. - Children are eligible for library cards when they are five years old or in kindergarten. - Residents of other Connecticut towns should bring in their current hometown library card to register. - We offer temporary cards to those patrons who do not meet the above qualifications. - Register online or register at the information desk, please bring proof of residency when you come to pick up your card. - Allow one week for processing. Borrowing/Renewals Most materials circulate for 3 weeks; new fiction circulates for 14 days; entertainment and documentary videos have a 7 day loan period ; ECL and new videos have a 2 day loan period; equipment may be checked out for 7 days. All items have a 1 day grace period except videos, equipment, new fiction, inter-library loans and museum passes. Materials may be renewed by telephone, through the catalog and in person, except for high demand fiction, reserved items and videos.
