🎒📚 Welcome Back, Old Orchard Beach! 📚🎒

Monday marks the first day of school, and we’re excited to welcome students, teachers, and staff back for another school year.

SRO Tichy is looking forward to being back in the schools, reconnecting with students and staff, and helping make this another safe and successful year.

As school gets underway, please remember to slow down and use extra caution around school zones, buses, and crosswalks.

From all of us at the Old Orchard Beach Police Department, we wish everyone a safe, successful, and enjoyable school year!

A message from SRO Tichy:
“Welcome back! I hope everyone had a great summer. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and having another great year. Remember to be kind, make good choices, and always look out for one another. See you at school!”

🚨 Weekend check-in 🚨

Have fun. Make memories.
Just please don’t make us the plot twist. 🚔

Also… this is an E-Scooter. 🛴

Same rules of the road apply. Yes, that includes stopping at stop signs.

And no… they are generally not allowed to be ridden inside private businesses.

We wish we were making this up, but E-Scooter burnouts on The Brunswick dance floor at 12:45 AM are, in fact, still a hard no.

Enjoy the weekend. Be safe. We’ll see you out there… hopefully not mid-burnout.

Need help but can’t safely make a phone call?

You can now text 9-1-1 to reach emergency dispatch when speaking isn’t possible or isn’t safe.

📱 Text 9-1-1 for emergencies only.
☎️ If you can safely call, calling is still the fastest and preferred way to reach emergency services.

Knowing this option exists could make all the difference when every second counts.

Can’t call? Text 9-1-1.
