ies in Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties. We are contracted by the New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS to provide a specific set of "deliverables," which are required goals for us to meet. STEMS also supports the Western Regional Medical Advisory Committee (WREMAC) and the SWREMS as needed. STEMS serves the 92 New York State Certified EMS agencies that cover over 260,000 citizens in the three-county region of Southwestern New York. STEMS strives to promote the cooperation of EMS organizations and encourages networking to promote fluidity in the continuum of care. Patient care is a top priority for STEMS and by working to further educate the members of the prehospital team in our region, we will move toward truly superior patient care.

Happy EMS Week! As we recognize National EMS Week, we want to thank each of you for the work you do every day across our region. We know the work is not easy, especially in rural communities, and we appreciate the dedication, professionalism, and compassion you continue to show every day.

Thank you to our community for allowing BRMC to serve generations of patients and families for 139 years as a hospital. While this marks the end of emergency and inpatient services, BRMC will continue serving the region as an outpatient center focused on primary and specialty care services close to home.
