🌟 AHEC Scholar Highlight: Katelyn Zufall 🌟

Katelyn Zufall is making a meaningful impact in the local community through her work with the Wyoming County Mental Health Department. As an AHEC Scholar, Katelyn continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to improving community health and supporting individuals and families affected by su***de loss.

“The Wyoming County Mental Health Department is deeply grateful for Katelyn’s willingness to step into the role of project manager for our LOSS (Local Outreach to Su***de Survivors) Team development. LOSS Teams proactively respond following a su***de loss to offer immediate, compassionate support. Her dedication, compassion, and the strength she brings as both a su***de loss survivor and former intern at our department make this work especially meaningful.

Katelyn’s guidance is not only helping shape this important project, but it is also offering hope to countless others who will feel less alone because of the path she has walked and the heart she brings to this mission.”

Through her leadership and lived experience, Katelyn is helping strengthen community-based support systems and ensuring that those navigating grief and loss have compassionate resources available when they need them most. Her work highlights the powerful role that AHEC Scholars play in building healthier, more resilient communities across our region.

👏 Thank you, Katelyn, for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to making a difference.
