Oley Valley School District is pleased to share the following community event from Fleetwood Bank.

Fleetwood Bank will host a Back to School Bash at its Blandon Branch on Tuesday, August 11, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. The event supports the bank's Smart Savers program and is designed to help students practice budgeting and math skills in a fun, family-friendly setting. Activities include free ice cream from Pop's Malt Shoppe for the first 100 children, balloon animals, face painting, and carnival games.

Students already enrolled in the Smart Savers program are encouraged to bring a friend. Friends who open a Smart Savers account through this referral will earn the enrolled student a $5 bonus.

Fleetwood Bank is also collecting school supply donations for children in need throughout Berks County. Attendees who bring a donation will receive a special gift.

The Oley Valley Elementary School still has a few registration spots available in the Pre-K Counts classroom for the 26-27 school year. Students must be 4 years of age by August 1, 2026, and meet the Pre-K Counts income requirements.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM OVSD:
Childcare Transportation Change Requests must be submitted ANNUALLY and are due by July 1, 2026, to make sure that they are set up for the first day of school.

If you need to submit a transportation change due to childcare or shared custody, please complete the appropriate form linked on the page below and follow the submission instructions by Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

OVHS students participated in the 2026 Senator Judy Schwenk Model Senate. This is a three-day workshop that is spread over two months. Young people from various Berks County schools meet and immerse themselves in a mock Senate experience. The workshop culminates with a trip to Harrisburg, where they are given a tour of the Capitol building, including an introduction to the PA Senate at the beginning of the session. It was an excellent experience.
The 2026 representatives from OVHS included Benji Walters, Ben Reed, Brayden Samuelsen, and Brett Grater.
