PARK AMENITIES UPDATE - STORM DAMAGE
The City of Olive Branch continues to work toward restoring all of our park amenities following the extensive storm damage that occurred on July 4.
We know many residents are eager to get back to enjoying our parks, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the significant amount of damage, the insurance process, and the scheduling of contractors and repair crews.
Current Park Status:
OPEN:
Disc Golf Holes 1, 2 & 3
Two tennis courts
All pickleball courts
Track
Athletic fields
2-mile walking trail
Existing walking trail at the Soccer Complex
CLOSED:
Remainder of the Disc Golf Course - due to downed trees and hanging limbs
Nature Trail - due to downed trees and hanging limbs
Olive Bark Park - repairs to the dog park fence are needed
The City expects to have a contract in place with a tree service provider this week to begin addressing the downed trees and hanging limbs.
The contractor for repairs involving the Olive Bark Park, track, and tennis court areas has informed us that they will begin repairs by early next week.
An additional walking trail is currently under construction at the Soccer Complex and will be open to the public soon. In the meantime, the existing walking trail at the Soccer Complex is completely open.
We are committed to getting all of our park amenities back open as soon as it is safe and possible to do so. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work through the recovery process.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to take advantage of the other City parks and recreational amenities that remain open.
We appreciate our residents' patience, support, and understanding as we work to restore our parks.
We’ll continue to provide updates as repairs progress.
