The carpentry class has made 5 saddle stands that are for sale. They are made from untreated pine and are $65 each. Can also make more upon request.

As part of our commitment to student safety, accountability and equitable access to all school services, Carter County Schools will be updating transportation procedures for students attending the Carter County Career and Technical Center (3CTC).

Beginning April 6, 2026 all students attending 3CTC will be required to ride district-provided school bus transportation to and from the 3CTC during the school day. Those students who are hybrid CVA and 3CTC must ride the bus from their regularly assigned high school to and from the 3CTC.

This change is being made to:
Improve student safety by ensuring all students are under school supervision during the instructional day.
Strengthen attendance and accountability during transitions between campuses.
Maximize instructional time and reduce missed class time.
Ensure access to school services including food service and student supports.
Create consistency and fairness across all student groups.

We understand this is a shift from past practice. However, this expectation aligns with our responsibility to provide a safe, structured, and equitable learning environment for all students.

Principals will communicate any information students need about bus details.

Big day for our welding program! 🔥👨‍🏭👩‍🏭

Today, seniors from Carter County Career & Technical Center competed in the regional SkillsUSA Welding Competition hosted at Ashland Community and Technical College (ACTC) alongside other local schools — and they represented us extremely well!

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and skill these students continue to demonstrate in the shop and in competition. Their commitment to excellence truly shows, and they set the standard for what our welding program is all about.

🎄 Welding + Creativity = Christmas Art! 🎄

Our Carter County Career & Technical Center Welding students (EC/WC juniors and seniors) took on a challenge to design and fabricate metal Christmas tree art sculptures using real welding skills, teamwork, and creativity. Each group brought their own style, technique, and imagination to the table — and now we want YOU to help us decide the winner!

Due to winter weather causing several missed school days, we had to push back our project deadline. We were originally hoping to have these finished before Christmas, but the students stayed committed and completed some great work despite the delay.

Our students have absolutely crushed every milestone this season, completing live patient care clincal training along side experienced nursing staff, mastering every hands-on skill checkoff, earning their AHA Basic Life Support certification, NOCTI certification, and now stepping confidently into their State Registered Nursing Assistant certification exam.

Watching them grow over the last two years from nervous beginners into skilled, compassionate caregivers has been the highlight of our year. Their dedication, professionalism, and grit prove that the future of healthcare is in very good hands. 🩺💙

Celebrate them with me as the first group (20 of 38) completed their state certification exam today. They’ve earned every bit of this moment! 👏🔥

The next group will begin their clinical hours next week. We can’t wait to share their photos with you soon 📸

While everyone else is enjoying the break, our Nursing Assistant students are up before dawn, clocking clinical hours and applying classroom learning directly to real patient care.
This is work-based learning in real time, students stepping into responsibility and showing up to build the future they want. Proud of them every step of the way. 💙✨🩺

Senior Construction Engineering students are so confident in their abilities that they put the structural integrity to the test. I believe the customer will be impressed with this custom-built hunting blind once it's completed.
