First Fun Friday post of the summer!

This is about a FANTASTIC student, Chloe McPhie!
"To Be Young" Magazine's Ryan Mote reached out to OJH to participate in a history essay competition for the inaugural Young County's Junior High History Essay Contest.
The entire 7th grade submitted essays to Coach Thompson and Mrs. Sullivan and, after thorough review, our history teachers sent off 17 papers to the final round to be judged by Jim Hammond and the Young County Historical Society.
OJH challenged our student to write about history focused on Olney. Of all the students who participated in this contest, our own Chloe McPhie took 1st place!

Fun Friday!
Mrs. Hubbard's and Mrs. Symank's 9th period classes are taking a TPWD Boater Education course led by our amazing SRO Officer Devin Wright!
By the end of this course the students will be educated in boating skills, seamanship, and have their Boater Education Certificate!

OPD & OVFD are going to es**rt home YOUR TMSCA STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

Line main street between 79 & Ave H to bring home your hard working kiddos. Your sendoff hyped them up; and they rose to the challenge, to defend their title!

Current ETA is 11:30pm, but I will post again when the bus is in Graham!
