Olney fire has received several calls in the last few days for campfires/grass fires in and around the area of Olney on Highway 93 and on Good Creek Road. We just want everyone to know that these are DNRC controlled/fires that may burn stumps or a single tree here and there. Please be aware that these fires are being monitored even if someone isn’t currently there when you see it. Thank you and feel free to share this.

Witness Information Request:

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance regarding a police pursuit that occurred yesterday. The pursuit began in Kalispell, proceeded west, and ended in a crash on Tally Lake Road.

We are asking anyone who witnessed the suspect vehicle — a gray Dodge Caravan — driving in a manner that disregarded the safety of persons or property while fleeing from law enforcement to please contact us.

If you observed any part of the incident or have information to share, please email a brief statement to [email protected].

The driver, Lisa Ohrn, was arrested and is currently being held at the Flathead County Detention Center for multiple driving offenses and pending felony charges of Criminal Endangerment and Aggravated Fleeing or Eluding.

Scheduled LEC Power Outage – Emergency Equipment Repairs

LEC crews will be performing urgent equipment repairs at the Trego substation. This work will affect all LEC members during the outage window.

Impact on Members:
• From the Canadian border south to the Stryker area: Members will be without power for the full duration of the outage.
• South of Stryker: Members will experience short, intermittent outages while the work is completed.
