July Spotlight: Safe Celebrations & Smart Recycling from Waste Management

Summer get-togethers bring an influx of seasonal waste, from grilling materials to party supplies. Keeping our communities clean and our collection routes safe relies on a shared commitment to disposal etiquette.

Keep it simple with these summer rules:

✅ Recycle empty, dry bottles, cans, cups, tubs, paper and cardboard.
❌ No food or liquid.
❌ No bagged recyclables.
❌ No batteries in the recycling or trash.

🔥 Holiday Safety Bonus—Cool Coals and Fireworks (Trash Cart Only):
Coals and fireworks never belong in your recycling bin. Always cool coals and ashes completely for at least 48 hours before bagging them for the trash, and fully douse used fireworks in a container filled with water before throwing them away.

The Core Goal
By recycling right and handling hazardous materials responsibly, you help improve local material recovery, protect frontline drivers, and ensure our neighborhood operations run safely all season long.
