Happy Juneteenth! ❤️🤍💙✊

Change doesn't have to take generations. It starts with one thing done differently for the people your work is meant to serve.

That's the challenge Director Megan Matthews brought to the WA State Blacks United In Leadership and Diversity - BUILD Juneteenth celebration at L&I Headquarters in Tumwater on Tuesday, and we want to pass it along to you. As you celebrate today, ask yourself: What's one thing you can do or change to move equity forward?

Juneteenth, or Freedom Day, is almost here! This holiday is one of celebration and joy, and it’s also a great reminder that liberation does not happen on its own. It takes community, bravery, and showing up to do the work.
