Carlyon/North Neighborhood Association [email protected] - former Neighborhood association for Olympia & Tumwater's Carlyon/North neighborhood Join us, please.

The Carlyon/North neighborhood includes more than 400 properties in historic Olympia and Tumwater between Carlyon Avenue to the north and North Street to the south, and between Sunset Boulevard & Fairfield Road to the west, and Hawthorne Place to the east. The C/NNA is run by a volunteer board (always looking for members!) and meets 9-12 times per year, typically in a certain Hawthorne Place home.

We also host an annual neighborhood yard sale and block party each summer (last Saturday, in July 2017). Annual dues are a bargain-basement $10 per household, which covers printing, signage and other incidental costs.

In case you were wondering about the sirens and smoke…

2:09 pm - Tumwater Fire Department is on scene of a possible commercial structure fire at the old South Pacific Restaurant on Custer Way and Capitol Blvd. Custer Way is being shut down at this time.

3:31 pm - Tumwater Fire & mutual aid are responding back to the same location for another fire. The caller advised the flames are spreading more rapidly than last time, flames are about 15 feet tall. The roadway will be shut down again.

When the fire was called in, two male subjects were seen running away from the area, one wearing a ski mask and the other with a bandana around his face.

Capitol Boulevard to E Street is shut down, Olympia Police Department is assisting Tumwater Police Department with traffic control.
