Planning to fly your drone during the soccer matches? Think again! Temporary Flight Restrictions will be in place around stadiums and fan festivals. Flying a drone in these areas is prohibited and a federal crime. Check airspace restrictions using FAA-approved B4UFLY Apps or visit TFR.FAA.gov. Unsecured loads are dangerous, illegal, and entirely preventable. In Washington state, unsecured loads contribute to more than 300 crashes each year and account for nearly 40% of roadside litter.

This month, will conduct emphasis patrols across the state as part of a joint campaign with the Washington Department of Ecology, Target Zero, and WSDOT. One of the quickest and easiest ways to prevent crashes, reduce litter, and keep our roadways safe is to secure your load before every trip.

Monday marked the first day of the 23rd Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer (CVEO) Basic Training Class!

Over the next five and a half months, these 10 recruits will develop the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to become well-versed in Washington State’s commercial motor vehicle laws. Their training will cover a wide range of topics, including collision investigations, hazardous materials awareness, report writing, fi****ms training, and commercial vehicle inspections.
