Olympia Regional Learning Academy (ORLA) is a school of choice, part of the Olympia public school district, meeting the requirements of an Alternative Learning Experience (ALE). iConnect Academy, now part of the ORLA Online Academy, uses an online curriculum with teachers located in our school. Online K-5 students will be automatically enrolled in ELA and Math, 1st - 5th-grade students will be aut
omatically enrolled in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. All K-12+ students meet their teachers through weekly face-to-face interactions. This blended learning approach allows them to easily get help from their teachers with especially difficult concepts or topics. https://orla.osd.wednet.edu/programs/iconnect_academy
ORLA Montessori offers four K-2nd (5 years old by Aug. 31) grade classrooms and three 3rd-5th grade classrooms. https://orla.osd.wednet.edu/programs/montessori/enrollment
Montessori and current hConnect students moving to 6th grade have the option of applying to ORLA's Middle School Academy (MSA) for 6-7-8th grades. MSA is for students who are seeking an integrated student-centered learning community that is focused on inquiry-based learning. Our learning community started in the fall of 2021. https://orla.osd.wednet.edu/programs/middle_school_academy/enrollment
hConnect is a school of choice supporting home-based instruction by providing enrichment classes and resources that may be difficult to provide at home for grades K-12. Our Washington certificated teachers work with families to support them in the education of their children. https://orla.osd.wednet.edu/programs/h_connect/enrollment
In September 2021, ORLA welcomed the Virtual Academy of Olympia (VAO) to the building. VAO is now part of the ORLA Online Academy. https://www.osd.wednet.edu/our_district/district_information/notice_of_non-discrimination
