Olyphant Ambulance 26 EMS

Tonight we got to meet with Rep. Kyle Mullins at the Olyphant Police night out and show him our 2 brand new vehicles. Representative Mullins helped us secure our grant to help cover a substantial part of the cost of these brand new vehicles. Thanks to his hard work fighting for us we were able to replace our old vehicles with 2 brand new ones to better serve the community. We at Olyphant Ambulance are extremely grateful for all the hard work he did for us and for the community he serves.

Big News! Last night we brought home our brand new 2026 Ford E-450 Medix Ambulance built by VCI. Lots of hard work and hours into getting this ambulance to replace our 1999 Braun. While we will miss our old faithful we are excited to start this new chapter. After bringing it home last night our EMS Captain Nick Lubniewski along with EMTs Morgan Lee Van Eck and Timothy Matthew and Drivers Scott Bidwell Jr. And Owen Slish went right to work getting everything switched over for licensure today and we are happy to report we passed licensure today and it's officially in service and already did its first call/transport about 30 min after passing!!! Thank you to everyone involved and to the community 🙏

Fun facts! Did you know how many hours your volunteers need to put in to become certified to respond to your emergencies?

Just to start they have to log around 160 hours of training, not to mention many have probation periods and tons of continuing education!

How many hours of training do you think a volunteer accumulates over their lifetime? Drop your guess in the comments!
