Kaycee has made Mr. Herbster three custom, handmade hats. She she assigns each hat a unique number in sequential order since she started making them in 2003. His favorite hat is number 1776 which you see him wearing in the attached photo. What a special number for a patriot!

"In 1998, my son and daughter-in-law moved to Nebraska to manage Herbster Angus Farms for Charles W. and Judy Herbster. As a mother, I always worry about my kids. This was a big opportunity and move away from home, but through this move, my kids became successful in the Angus business. In addition, Charles and Judy became my extended family and Charles a mentor and a friend. Charles has been there for my kids and has helped mold my granddaughter into the strong woman she has become. He has been a role model for the whole family to follow.

"My experience of knowing Charles W. Herbster is a result of being a childhood friend of Amanda Raithel who works for Charles at Herbster Angus Farm.

When Nebraska experienced devasting flooding because of the bomb cyclone in 2019, my family in Ohio helped organize several trailer loads of supplies for families in Nebraska. Charles, upon learning of our efforts, offered to help with food, fuel, and lodging for us once we arrived in Nebraska. He even accompanied our group to our drop off point in Central City. Charles and I had great conversation during that trip, and he genuinely wanted to know more about me, my background, and my family.

"In 2021 and 2022, my husband and I helped during the annual Herbster Bull sale as well. That event is made possible by the work of many hands, and Charles is so appreciative and respectful of everyone who helps make the sale happen - he makes you feel like family!

"Charles is one of a kind. His mind never stops, but Charles will always take a moment to say hello, ask how you are, and catch up.

"Charles cares about people. As Governor, he will work for the people of Nebraska as if they are his family!

"Charles was my neighbor for 26 years. I was his veterinarian for 28 years. At the young age of 25, I took a job in Falls City at the Animal Health Center, he was one of my first clients. From then until now, he has always treated me with respect and kindness. People speak of his generosity, and I am here to tell you, it’s the truth. I have eaten many a lunch there after working cattle cooked by his wife, Judy. He has hauled cattle for me when my trailer broke down (on Christmas Eve nonetheless); he has loaned me equipment; and even pulled me out of ditches. He knows how to be a good neighbor and will help out whenever someone is in need!

"We met years ago following a performance I had at President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s home in Florida. It took one lunch and conversation in the beautiful dining hall of Mar-a-Lago for me to learn Charles was rare and special - a true heart for God,a real patriot with a deep love for America, a selfless giver, a leader with great conviction and a strong moral compass, and most of all, a champion for women.

"I have known Charles W. Herbster for ten years. He is one of the most reputable and thoughtful men I have been around. He has been around the women that have worked in our cattle operation and has never on any way shape or form been out of line in any situation! Our grandchildren have always been able to talk to Charles about anything. He has given them advice, and how to handle different situations, wether it in the show ring, school, or in sports. These accusations seem to come out in timely fashion to try to discredit his reputation. Politics, at times can be very hateful, and I'm disappointed in the way Charles, a good man, has been treated."
