❤️💚💙 Red Ribbon Week is Coming! 🌈🧦
Next week, we’re dressing up to celebrate healthy choices and show our commitment to a drug-free life! ❤️
Here’s how our Mustangs can join the fun:
🔴 Monday: Wear RED to show your support for a drug-free life!
🧦 Tuesday: Wear your craziest, most colorful, or mismatched socks to show you’re crazy for healthy living!
🌈 Wednesday: Wear BRIGHT colors to help your future shine!
🎓 Thursday: Wear college gear or something that represents your future!
🎃 Friday: It’s Halloween party day! Students should save their costumes for the afternoon, when we’ll have our Halloween parade. Until then, wear your regular school clothes and get ready for some Halloween fun! 👻
Let’s make it a colorful week while reminding our Mustangs that healthy choices help build bright futures! 💚💙🐴

🏰⚔️ Welcome to Medieval Day! 👑
Our 4th graders stepped back in time for Medieval Day! 🏰
As part of their learning about the Middle Ages, students created projects showcasing what they learned, including castle models, posters about important historical figures, and research about the Black Death.
From castles to some of history’s more challenging topics, our students explored the medieval world and brought their learning to life through creativity, research, and hands-on projects! 📜🏰
Who knew the Middle Ages could be so much fun? ⚔️💚💙

It’s been a spooky-good time at Cather! 💚💙
Our preschool storytime friends created their own paper plate monsters 👹 and then hit the halls for a trick-or-treat parade through the school! We loved seeing all those little costumes and smiles! 🎃
And our families joined us for a sweet night at Family Movie Night, featuring W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Factory! 🍫🎬 A little movie magic, a little chocolate fun, and a great evening together!
We love finding ways to bring our Cather community together! 🐴💚💙

Today is a pretty special date in Cather history!
On October 20, 1968, Willa Cather Elementary was officially dedicated. 🎉
That means 58 years ago today, our school became part of the Millard community!
A lot has changed since 1968, but Cather is still here, still growing, and still filled with Mustangs. 💚💙🐴
Happy Cather anniversary! 🎉

Join us for Family Movie Night!
This Thursday, October 22, we will be showing W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original!) from 6-7:30 pm. There will be popcorn, candy, and water for sale (cash only), but the first bag of popcorn is free! You can also bring your own water bottles. Please bring blankets and whatever else you need to be comfortable. All students must be accompanied by an adult, and we will be staying in the gym for the entirety of the movie. Thank you so much!
