🌈 This Pride Month, we proudly celebrate LGBTQ+ communities and the strength, diversity, and resilience they bring to our community.

Everyone deserves access to safe and respectful healthcare. Public health is strongest when all people feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to live healthy lives.

Together, we can advance health equity and create communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Douglas County Health Department Deputy Director Dr. Justin Frederick spoke at the Emergency Preparedness Symposium in Papillion about measles and the public health response to the 2010 Omaha outbreak.

We are in a new Era of Concurrent Infectious Disease Threats, but measles cases are on track to be the highest in any given year in three decades.

Emergency preparedness, education, and strong community partnerships are key to protecting public health and keeping our communities safe. Thank you to everyone working together to support the health and well-being of our community.
