🎓SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🎓
Lomega High School concludes its 2026 Senior Spotlight series by honoring graduate Jaxson Cole Snowden.
Jaxson is most grateful for his family and says his parents and grandparents are his heroes because of their faith and the way they model how to live and act. He says the highlight of senior year was “just hanging out with my buddies.” Some of his favorite LHS memories include basketball trips and games, summer workouts, and morning drives listening to Johnny Cash. One of the best things about Lomega, he says, is the family-like atmosphere, while his least favorite part was knowing he had to graduate.
Jaxson said he never needed a creative excuse to get out of assignments because he always got his work done. That mindset is reflected in his straightforward advice to younger students: “Do your work on time!” He wouldn’t change any school rules, but he would add Self-Defense as a required course for future seniors. Though he’d rather save money than spend it, if he had an extra $100, he says he would buy gas and Dr. Pepper.
A few fun facts about Jaxson: He would rather be overdressed than underdressed, prefers sweet snacks to salty ones, and would choose snow skiing over water skiing. The TV show Malcolm in the Middle best reflects his life right now, while Rocky Balboa is one of his biggest inspirations. If a movie were made about his senior year, he says Ewan McGregor would play him.
This fall, Jaxson plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University. In ten years, he imagines himself with a wonderful job, a lovely wife, and a family. Congratulations, Jaxson, on all of your accomplishments! LHS wishes you all the best at SWOSU and beyond.
