We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Ona-Milton Little League coaches and league administration for an exceptional 'Opening Day' “firefighter/coaches” game. The Ona VFD firefighters and participating team members eagerly anticipate competing in future games throughout the season. While the memories created will far outlast any physical discomfort experienced, they will be equally matched by the joy and camaraderie exhibited. It is indeed a privilege to be part of such a commendable event, bringing together the community, teams, parents, and fostering a positive environment. Thank you.

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of community spirit and fun! On April 11th, 2026, at 6:30pm, join us at the Ona-Milton Little League ballfields on Grant Garden's Road. The Ona Volunteer Fire Department will host a thrilling showdown between Little League coaches and the Ona Volunteer Fire Department's Lucky 7's!. This exciting event promises to inspire connection and camaraderie, with attendees enjoying meet-and-greets with firefighters, exploring fire apparatus, and enjoying a great night of laughter and fun. The night will conclude in a dazzling fireworks display, generously provided by the Ona-Milton Little League.

We are incredibly grateful to the Chaney Family Foundation for their generous 2025 grant that allowed us to purchase a new Kawasaki Mule side-by-side.
This addition will make a tremendous difference in how we serve our community—improving access to difficult terrain, supporting emergency response operations, and helping us work more efficiently during trainings, events, and incidents.
Support like this directly strengthens our ability to protect and serve, and we cannot thank the Chaney Family Foundation enough for investing in our mission and in the safety of our community.

Semi accident

Accident is between Milton exit and Mall exit

Traffic is open to 1 lane, but will be that way for a little while.

***Update: West bound lanes are now open. East bound lanes have one lane open. Please continue to use caution in the area.

Public Service Announcement: I-64 is now shut down both ways at the 21 mile marker. If you are headed east, you will have to exit on or before exit 20b (Mall Exit)

Upon the news of the current snow storm, our department started preparing, checking, and stocking for the weekend. Starting in the early morning hours of 1/24/26 several members arrived to fine tune last minute prepping. While in the waiting, we had 3 calls, and appears there is potential for more, with the predicted forecast.
We ask that you stay in if you dont have to be out, and drive safe and slow in hazardous conditions.

If you are in need of assistance, never hesitate to call 911. With the current temperatures, staying in and warm, with plenty to eat and drink, is an ideal plan, until roadways are cleared and utilities are restored.
