Please share that my office is temporarily located at 1000 Lincoln Ave. Oneonta, Al 35121. Anyone needing to vote absentee will need to come to this address which is the old Blount Memorial Hospital. Please enter through the glass front doors and follow the signs for absentee voting. There will be a doorbell for you to ring for service. My office hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday excluding Holidays. You may also mail your application to my office at the address of 220 Second Ave East Oneonta, Al 35121 and your ballot will be mailed. I would advise not to wait until the last minute as your ballot may not be received back in time to count your vote.
Absentee voting dates are March 25, 2026 thru May 14, 2026 with the election being held on May 19th and the run-off election will be held June 16th. Absentee voting for the run-off will begin as soon as ballots are received approximately on June 2nd - June 11th. If you have any questions please call my office at 205-973-0499. January 26, 2026 jury service is being delayed due to possibility of inclement weather. Jurors please report to courtroom 1 of the Blount County Courthouse on Tuesday January 27, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. weather permitting.

Good morning all! PSA: we do not contact you ever and ask for money for failing to appear for jury service. We will never require you to pay anything at anytime to do with jury service! We normally never initiate contact with anyone regarding payment of fines, cost etc and certainly not jury service. Please do not fall for the scam when someone calls and says you must pay them money for missing jury duty. Most recently a lady paid $500 and the scammer told her that my office would reimburse her if she came and presented me with the bar code. That simply is a scam. If you ever have a question about the call and they mention my office please call my office at 205-973-0499 to verify. This would apply to any county across our state. My office number is 205-973-0499. January is when scammers are extremely busy. Please beware! Please share this post to help friends and family avoid this costly mistake.
