The counselors deserve recognition for their steadfast commitment—they invest considerable time and energy in fostering student growth, addressing academic challenges, and supporting the emotional and social well-being of every student. Their dedication to our school community exemplifies the caliber of professionals working within our district.

We are blessed to have such a wonderful group of educators serving in the libraries throughout the Blount County School System! Our Blount County librarians spent a great afternoon collaborating and sharing ideas at the Central Office as they continue working together to strengthen their programs and better serve our students.

A special thank you to Mrs. Murphree for her continued leadership and support of this group throughout the year, as well as for organizing the meeting with the State Department representative. We appreciate the dedication of our librarians and all they do to support student learning and success across our district!

🏐 Congratulations to the J.B. Pennington Volleyball Team! 🏐

Congratulations to the J.B. Pennington Volleyball Team on defeating Tharptown in three straight sets last night! With this victory, the Lady Tigers have advanced to the next round in the State Playoffs and are now one of only 16 teams remaining in the 2A classification!

We would like to congratulate Coach Hutchens, Coach Adams, and all of the players for their hard work, dedication, and success throughout the season. It was great to see such an outstanding crowd come out to support the team!

We are proud of the Lady Tigers and wish them the best of luck as they compete in the Super Regionals at the Finley Center in Hoover!

Last Friday night, J.B. Pennington celebrated Senior Night, honoring its senior band members, football players, and their parents. It was also a very special night for Ms. Elizabeth Boone as she directed the J.B. Pennington Tiger Marching Band for the final time at William R. Sutton Memorial Stadium.

For more than 25 years, Ms. Boone has dedicated her time and talents to the students and families of the Blountsville community. Year after year, the Tiger Marching Band has delivered outstanding halftime performances, creating lasting memories for students, parents, and fans alike.

Several former students returned Friday night to show their support and appreciation for Ms. Boone as she led her band one last time on the home field. Their presence was a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact she has made on generations of students.

Thank you, Ms. Boone, for your many years of hard work, dedication, and commitment to the students of J.B. Pennington High School and the Blountsville community. Your legacy will continue to be heard in the music and remembered in the lives of the students you have impacted over the years! 🐯🎶

Appalachian High School Brings Home the Win at the Blount County Beef Cookoff!

We are incredibly proud of all of our students who participated in the Blount County Beef Cookoff at the Blount County Multi-Purpose Building. Our students showcased their creativity, hard work, and love for cooking and we are excited to celebrate their accomplishments! 🏈 Blount County Junior High Football Championship! 🏈

Last night, the Blount County Junior High Football Championship took place at James E. Carr Stadium on the campus of Appalachian School. Thank you to everyone who came out to support both teams and make this a special event!

Congratulations to both teams for earning their place in the championship game! We would also like to congratulate the Appalachian Football Team and Cheerleaders on winning the Blount County Championship!

Both programs have so much to be proud of, and the future looks bright for these young athletes. We are proud of all of our students who represent their schools with pride, dedication, and sportsmanship!

Yesterday, the Blount County High School Ambassadors gathered at the Blount County Multi-Purpose Center for Ambassador Leadership Day!

These young men and women do a fantastic job of representing their schools throughout the year. They are often the first faces visitors see when our schools host special events, and they serve as outstanding representatives of their schools and our community. We are proud of their leadership, dedication, and willingness to serve others.

A special thank you to Mrs. Bartlett for organizing the training and helping prepare these students for their important roles. We would also like to thank the Blount County Education Foundation for its continued support of our High School Ambassadors.

We appreciate all that these students do to represent Blount County Schools with pride and excellence!
