Literacy Volunteers of Otsego and Delaware Counties (LVODC) is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization in upstate New York. LVODC’s free, tailored literacy support for adults increases literacy skills and enhances quality of life. Our mission is to change lives by promoting literacy. We match volunteer tutors with motivated adults lacking the English or math skills to perform the everyday tasks that

they need to be effective employees, parents, and citizens in American society. Our vision is to enhance the lives of individuals in the family, workforce, and the community through the power of literacy, creating communities where 100% literacy is the norm. Founded in 1974, Literacy Volunteers of Otsego and Delaware Counties has recently expanded to Chenango County as well. LVODC’s main office is located at 155 Main Street, Suite E, Oneonta, New York. Box 722, Oneonta, NY 13820. We are always looking for new students and new tutors.
