d be part of the College community. In order to do an effective job, University Police also solicit the aid of all segments of the campus community to help us protect and serve all campus personnel, physical facilities and property. The State University Police recognizes its obligation to conduct its activities and treat all persons in a lawful, fair, equitable, and evenhanded manner without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, political affiliation, or personal interest. New York State University Police is operated as a basic crime prevention, service and enforcement unit. University Police is the only 24-hour department on campus which the campus community can depend for services at any hour of the day or night. Good service depends on immediate response to any given situation. While the college sleeps, University Police Officers are called upon for services which cannot be given by others. The campus community deserves a law enforcement operation that can act as a protective and preventive force that can respond intelligently, swiftly and effectively to any emergency or other situation

Director of Training for SUNY Oneonta Law Enforcement Academy, Brian Kittle and Emergency Manager, Michael Woytach recently completed the Global War on Terror (GWOT) 100-mile challenge during the month of February. The GWOT 100 is a national 100-mile challenge honoring those who served during the Global War on Terror. Inspired by the 15-year tradition of the Taji 100, this new chapter—led by Team Red, White & Blue—carries this event forward. Brian Kittle and Michael Woytach are both veterans of the Global War on Terror. Brian served in Afghanistan and Michael served in Iraq.

Participants in the challenger could complete 100 miles during February in any way they chose: run, walk, ruck, cycle, swim, row, elliptical, stair climber, or Jacob’s Ladder.

This evening, the lobby of Littell Hall was transformed into a typical frat house complete with low lighting, loud music and mocktails as ResLife staff presented a Fatal Vision program with University Police.

Lieutenant Naughton, Officer Ouimet, and Officer McGrady were on hand to discuss the dangers of excessive drinking while students tried their hand at simple tasks like stacking cups and drawing a circle while wearing the “drunk goggles.”

Today was our 11th annual Cop Shop 🎄, one of our favorite traditions that gives us the opportunity to spend time with local children and also provide them with holiday goodies. University Police members made some special deliveries to the kids and wished them a happy holiday! Thank you to those who donated supplies and their time to make this event possible! ❄️☃️
