Yesterday at the GCA office/podcast studio, we sat down with Dr. Cameron Schweitzer, Director of Gateway Seminary's Bay Area Campus, for a wide-ranging conversation on theology, ministry, seminary training, church history, and the unique opportunities facing churches in California today.

From the relevance of the Nicene Creed and the legacy of Jonathan Edwards to preparing pastors for ministry in the Bay Area, Dr. Schweitzer shares thoughtful insights and practical encouragement for church leaders and believers alike.

And yes—we also discussed cereal, coffee roasting, and who would make the worst theologian to be stranded with on a desert island. 😄

The Kuykendall Bible Collection has many idiosynchrasies, including this Bible that changes all the plural pronouns from "you" to "y'all." Wishing all our students a blessed summer break: y'all come back now, ya hear!

Congratulations to all our 2026 graduates! The library staff was priveleged to walk with faculty in commencement and see off the many students whom we helped along the way.

A particularly famous (or INfamous) Bible in the Kuykendall Collection is this facsimile of the Jefferson Bible. A deist, Thomas Jefferson is well known for his liberal excision of various passages of Scripture he found anti-rational, actually physically cutting them from the tome and standing in a redacted, piecemeal form. It stands as a testimony to Francis Turretin's earlier, near-prophetic query, "What will become of this sacred book, if everyone is allowed to wield a consorious pen and play the critic over it?"
