We were happy to attend the Beat Lex Bonfire at Ontario High School!

Our crews were there to help keep everyone safe during the bonfire while students, staff, families, and the community showed their Warrior spirit.

On August 7, we were proud to hold a swearing-in ceremony to recognize this exciting milestone in their careers. Serving as a full-time firefighter is a commitment rooted in dedication, service, teamwork, and protecting the community when help is needed most.

Lucas, AJ, and Cara have each shown a strong commitment to our department and the residents we serve. We are excited to have them as part of our STFD family and look forward to seeing them continue to grow in their careers.

Today, the duty crew had the opportunity to participate in a joint training at Ontario Schools with OhioHealth athletic trainers.

The training focused on the transition of patient care from athletic trainers to our fire department personnel during emergency situations involving student-athletes. Crews worked through scenarios including an injured athlete and cardiac arrest management, helping strengthen communication, teamwork, and patient care during critical moments.

We are grateful for the opportunity to train alongside OhioHealth and Ontario Schools as we continue working together to provide the best possible care for our student-athletes!

Becoming a paramedic is no small accomplishment. The program includes months of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and countless hours of clinical rotations. Their accomplishment reflects months of hard work, studying, and determination, and we couldn't be more proud of what they've achieved.

A big thank you to Pioneer’s Masonry classes and their teacher, Grant Brocwell, for their hard work and assistance repairing the brick wall at Station 2!

We truly appreciate the time, effort, and craftsmanship that went into this project. It’s always great to see students using their skills to give back to the community, and the finished project looks fantastic.
